North Cotabateños will surely have their pulses racing when they witness the 2-day 4×4 Off Road Challenge which startstomorrow, Saturday August 24 and end on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Capitol Grounds, Amas, Kidapawan City.
More than fifty, including renowned 4×4 off road bike riders coming from different areas of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao are expected to participate in the said competition this weekend.
Elimination round is set on Saturday.
The three categories in this event are: Stock Category, 4×4 with tires size limit of 31”; Expert category, for modified suspension with limit tires size of 33” and Extreme Category, for no limit of tire size and suspension.
A cash prize of P50,000.00 is at stake for the champion in the extreme category. P 30,000.00, P20,000.00, P 15,000.00 and P 10,000.00 will be awarded to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place winners respectively. Non winners will receive a consolation prize of P 5,000.00 each.
Meanwhile, winners from both expert and stock categories will receive same amount of cash prize. P 10,000-.00 for the champion while for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th placer will be given P 7,000.00, P5,000.00, P3,000.00 and P2,000 respectively.
Mr. Paulo Torreda, event manager of the 4×4 off road challenge said that this event was organized by the Cotabato provincial government in cooperation with the Mt. Apo Off Roaders Association (MAORA) to provide Cotabateños fun and exciting experience during the celebration of the 105th Foundation Anniversary of the province.//mdd\\
