Cotabato province’s local produce to be showcased whole-year round in a one-stop-shop inside the provincial capitol

Local exhibitorswill be assured of better profit as Cotabato Governor Nancy Catamcopushed for the opening of a one-stop shop inside the provincial capitol where the province’s top local produce will be showcased whole-year-round.

Pikit’s famous Tinagtag, Kabacan’skakanin, Arakan’s Dinorado rice and organic vegetables; the sweet pomelos of Mlang; Magpet’s durian fruits and Bios Dynamis’ organic riceare just few of the products soon to be showcased the entire year in the provincial capitol’s pavilion, “The Basket”.

This move of Governor Catamco has received positive response among provincial employees especially so that these local products usedto be showcased only in the capitol compound during the province’s weeklong celebration of its founding anniversary which culminates on September 1.

Governor Catamco wants to promote local tourism and she wants it started inside the capitol.

“All efforts must start right here in our home, the capitol Let’s help promote our products and have a lively tourism”.

The Governor has expressed early on that she wants government facilities to be properly utilized and that dilapidating buildings be repaired the soonest possible time to maximize its utilization. 

A simple ceremony was held this morning at the provincial capitol building to officially welcome Governor Catamcoto the provincial family after she took her oath on Sunday, June 30 at the provincial gymnasium, Amas, Kidapawan City.//ozg\\
