Governor Catamco to fortify Cotabato’s eight government hospitals, improve quality of health service

Amas, Kidapawan City – Governor Nancy Alaan Catamco today called a conference with the Chiefs of Hospital led by newly appointed Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) Head Dr. Joel Sungcad.

The governor reiterated her pronouncement during her oath-taking of elevating the quality of health service in the province by first, fortifying government hospitals.  The one-stop-shop MALASAKIT CENTER will be established first at the Cotabato Provincial Hospital.

Governor Catamco, also mentioned the construction of Provincial Blood Bank Center and weekly bloodletting activity to cater the needs especially of the poor constituents of Cotabato Province.

As the new chief executive, the lady governor is hopeful that the Provincial Health Board will not only function as an advisory committee on health matters but also assist in boosting the morale of employees and hospital staff.

After listening to the issues and concerns presented by the Chiefs of Hospital, the governor cautioned them to “not speculate, instead communicate with each other because the success of this administration does not only rely on us your leaders alone but through the collaborative effort of everyone.”

2nd District Board Member Dr. Philbert Malaluan, Chairman, Committee on Health of Sangguniang Panlalawigan was also present during the said meeting. //ras//
