Limampung araw matapos ang kanyang pormal na panunungkulan, nilagdaan na ni Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño Mendoza nitong Agosto 19, 2022 ang ordinansa na nag aatas sa paglikha ng Youth Development Division sa ilalim ng Office of the Governor.
Ang Provincial Ordinance No. 674 an Ordinance Proposing for the Creation of the Youth Development Division Under the Office of the Governor, Providing for its Staffing Pattern and Appropriating Funds Therefor ay naipasa sa 3rd and final reading sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan noong Agosto 9, 2022.
Pangunahing may akda ng nasabing ordinansa si SK Provincial Federation President Sarah Joy Simblante na siya ring chairman ng Committee on Youth and Sports ng SP.
Sa kanyang facebook post sinabi ni Board Member Simblante, “this local legislative document decreed another milestone that will pave the way to a precise roadmap towards upholding the essence of SK Reform Law, as well as ensuring the establishment of well-founded Division under the Provincial Governors’ Office (PGO) that will provide innovative intervention, programs, and activities anchored in the SK Reform Law.”
Personal din itong nagpasalamat kay Mendoza sa patuloy nitong pagbibigay ng suporta lalo na sa mga programang may kinalaman sa youth development and empowerment.
Ang paglikha ng nasabing dibisyon ay maituturing na katuparan ng isa sa 12-point agenda ni Governor Mendoza na Youth Empowerment and Sports Development na isa sa mga prayoridad ng kanyang administrasyon.
Umaasa naman ang gobernadora na sa paglikha ng youth development division ay mas lalo pang magiging epektibo at komprehensibo ang mga programang mailalatag ng pamahalaang panlalawigan para sa mga kabataan.//idcd//
