Amas, Kidapawan City- In order to complete the documents relating to the sale of lots involved in the Central Mindanao Airport (CMA) located at Barangay Tawan-tawan, M’lang Cotabato, Governor Nancy A. Catamco along with M’lang Mayor Russel Abonado, Members of Regional Project Monitoring Committee, and Department of Transportation’s (DoTR) Engr. Manny Lazam met the landowners today at Poblacion, Mlang, Cotabato.
During the meeting Governor Catamco appealed to the landowners to cooperate in the legal process to finish the much delayed government project due to land acquisition.
DOTr Representative Engr. Lazam said that once the documents needed will be completed within the time frame given the construction of the said airport will resume immediately and expected to be operational by the end of this year. He also urged the landowners to help the provincial government because everyone could benefit from the said project.
According to Lazam the DoTR is ready to download the additional funding for the project if and when the documents are perfected and completed.
After the meeting the governor and the team proceeded to CMA to conduct an ocular inspection in the area. After the inspection a brief press conference with the media followed.
“With the help of everyone and of course of the different national line agencies, I am confident that this project will come into reality and will benefit not only for the Municipality of M’lang but the entire Province of Cotabato,” Gov. Catamco said.//ras//
