No less than Cotabato Governor Nancy A. Catamco insisted that aside from highlighting the province’s tourism, investment and agriculture industry with activities like trade expo, MSME’s enhancement seminars and coop exhibit, kids-friendly activities such as featuring an “amusement park” should also be included as she wants younger ones to also enjoy and take part in the said merry-making – stressing that “Kalivungan is a family affair.”
The festivities will officially kick off Monday, August 26, marking the province’s 105th founding anniversary and culminating on September 1 during its founding day.
Sports activities like basketball, taekwondo and table tennis have already started as early as last month with the championship games slated on September 1.
A Holy Mass will be celebrated on its founding day which starts at 7:30 in the morning at the Basket, Provincial Capitol, Amas, Kidapawan City with Most Reverend Bishop, Colin M. Bagaforo, DD. officiating. //ozg\\
