In compliance with EO 70 or the whole-of-nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace, the Provincial Government of Cotabato will conduct its first Serbisyo Caravan under the Retooled Community Service Program or RCSP in barangays Balite and Basak in Magpet and Kabalantian in Arakan on October 15, 2019.
These three of eight priority barangays have been identified by the Philippine Army as influenced barangays in the province of Cotabato.
This was finalized during the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) meeting held on October 2, 2019 at the capitol rooftop, Amas, Kidapawan City. The conduct of Serbisyo Caravan is among the major activities of the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict or PTF-ELCAC.
According to Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Director Josephine C. Leysa, Serbisyo Caravan involves sectoral consultations with women, PWD (person with disability) senior citizens, under 18 years old, farmers, fisher folks, laborers and NGOs/Pos (Non Government Organizations or Private Organizations) as basis for matching of services.
PPOC Chair and Acting Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza, emphasizing the importance of compliance in the directive, urged all concerned members of the RCSP of the five remaining influenced barangays namely: Datu Ladayon, Arakan: Don Panaca, Magpet; Luayon and Malabuan both in Makilala; and Batang in Tulunan to complete all the required documents before their Serbisyo Caravan schedule.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government Unit Provincial Office headed by Provincial Director Ali Abdullah, in partnership with the Provincial Planning Development Office (PPDO) headed by Ms. Cynthia D.
