Fifteen schools in the province of North Cotabato are expected to showcase their musical talents in the Musical Street Parade competition as one of the highlights in a weeklong celebration of the 105thFoundation Anniversary of the province of North Cotabato.
The musical street parade competition is scheduled on August 26, 2019 at seven o’clock in the morning during the opening day of the Kalivungan Festival at the Provincial Capitol Sports Complex, Amas, Kidapawan City.
Each contingent must have a minimum of thirty (30) but no limit as to the maximum number of participating members and will be given ten minutes to perform during the showdown at the provincial capitol sports complex.
The winning groups will bring home P50,000.00 for the 1st prize, P40,000.00 for the 2nd prize, and P 30,000.00 for the 3rd prize plus trophy and certificate of recognition. Non-winning entries will receive P5,000 and certificate of participation as consolation prize.
Meanwhile, special awards will also be given like best in costume, most disciplined group, best in marching band, best mother majorette and biggest delegation.
This competition which isfacilitated jointly by the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian and the Department of Education is open to elementary pupils from both public and private schools in the province. It is aimed at promoting musical talents and camaraderie among young Cotabateños. //mdd//
