Magpet, Cotabato- Cotabato Governor Nancy A. Catamco led today, November 6, 2020 the ground breaking ceremony of P22M (2) Lane RCDG Bridge, in Brgy. Manobo, Magpet, Cotabato.
The said project is funded by the Provincial Government of Cotabato, from its 20% Economic Development Fund. According to Acting Provincial Engineer Domingo Doyongan, Jr., the project is expected to be completed on July 2021 which will benefit the IP community in the said barangay.
“This bridge will open new opportunities to the IP community of Manobo, Magpet. It will be easier for them to transport their goods and products to nearby towns for possible market,” Doyongan said.
In her message, Governor Catamco assured that implementation of development programs and delivery of basic services for IP communities in the province are among the thrusts and priorities of her administration.
“This is just the beginning. I assure you that IP communities of the province will not be left behind and will be given equal opportunity,” Catamco said.
Meanwhile, Magpet Municipal Vice Mayor Rogelio Marañon and Manobo Brgy. Chairman Rolando Pelonio were grateful to the provincial government for the said project.//pgo-idcd//Photos by: Sidney Nanini//
