The Provincial Government of Cotabato has offered livelihood cash assistance to 168 members of the LGBT community and members of the association of beauty parlors in Cotabato province who have completed a two-day skills training in food processing conducted in May this year by the Provincial Agriculturist’s Office in partnership with the Cotabato Provincial Investment and Promotion Center.
The same LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender) and members of the Association of Beauty Parlors trainees who may avail of the said livelihood assistance will be evaluated by the Provincial Government of Cotabato through the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office to determine their eligibility.
This livelihood cash assistance worth P2K, P4K and P5K to be disbursed according to provincial guidelinesis intended to assist the beneficiaries asstart-up capital in their business venture.

Mazo are both working closely to facilitate this government initiative in order to provide sustainable livelihood to LGBTQ members who have been out of jobs due to the closure of beauty shops and salons as a result of the enhanced community quarantine earlier implemented in the province the the government’s effort to stop the spread of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID -19).
