Provincial Government of Cotabato now accepting SPES applicant for CY 2020

The Provincial Government of Cotabato will be hiring 200 applicants divided into three batches for 20 working days under the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) for CY 2020. SPES applicants shall register through online registration at http://dole12-spes.ph. Complete documentary requirements shall be submitted personally to the Provincial Human Resource Management Office, Capitol Building, Amas, Kidapawan City.

The schedule of program implementation are the following:

1. February 10-28, 2020 – application/interview for the first and second batch;
2. April 13, 2020 – First batch SPES implementation;
3. May 4, 2020 – Second batch SPES implementation;
4. March 23, 2020 – Orientation and Contract Signing for Batch 1 & 2;
5. June 4, 2020 – Orientation and Contract Signing for Batch 3;
6. June 15, 2020 – Third batch SPES implementation.

The new SPES applicants’ eligibility and documentary requirements to be complied as per Republic Act No. 10917 amending certain provisions of RA 9547 are the following:

Eligibility:

1. Poor but deserving students, out-of-school-youths (OSY), ordependents of displaced or would-be displaced workers due to business closures, or work stoppages, or natural calamities, intending to enroll in any secondary, tertiary or technical-vocational institutions;
2. At least 15 years of age but not more than 30 years old; (in our case,Senior High School and college students are given priority)
3. Does not exceed the annual regional poverty threshold level for afamily of six (6) for the preceding year as may be determined by NEDA, in our case, at least P126,150.00

Documentary Requirements:

1. Photocopy of birth certificate or any government issued ID or any official document indicating the applicants’ date of birth/age;
2. Photocopy of Income Tax Return or original copy of certificate of lowincome;
3. Form 138/137, in the absence, a certification from school of his/herpassing grade;
4. In case of OSY, original copy of certification from the Barangay or Municipal Social Welfare Development Office;
5. An interview will be conducted to qualified applicants upon submission of their requirements to assess their qualifications. Qualified applicants shall be evaluated based on the following:

• Grades;
• Family income;
• Interview assessment.
