Serbisyo Caravan, a component of the Retooled Community Service Program mandated by Executive Order 70 also known as “The Whole-of-Nation Approach in Attaining Inclusive and Sustainable Peace,” will resume after its cancellation in the aftermath of the earthquakes last October.
This was revealed today in a meeting of the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) at the Capitol Rooftop, Amas, Kidapawan City.
According to the Provincial Planning and Development Office, PTF-ELCAC lead office, the second batch of ELCAC barangays and their schedules are Datu Ladayon in Arakan on December 10, Batang in Tulunan on December 11 and Don Panaca of Magpet on December 12.
Issues and concerns based on a needs analysis validated by the provincial task force last October 25 were presented by the respective Municipal Local Government Operation Officer of Arakan, Tulunan, and Magpet.
Meanwhile, DILG Provincial Director Ali B. Abdullah, head of the PTF-ELCAC secretariat, encouraged chiefs and representatives of national line agencies to take note of their concerns, support and participate actively in the upcoming series of Serbisyo Caravan.
Speaking for Governor Nancy A. Catamco, Mr. Basilio E. Obello, MRED, designated Vice Chairman of the Comprehensive Provincial Rehabilitation Program said that the goal of ending insurgency will be worked out side by side with the rehabilitation program of earthquake affected communities.
“Let us support the peace program of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and continue what the PTF-ELCAC has started. We will make sure that this whole-of-nation-approach will convince our constituents of government’s sincerity in addressing insurgency once and for all,” Obello said.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police in coordination with concerned local government units will provide security for the activity.//idcd//
