The provincial government of Cotabato is beefing up its efforts to ensure that farmers are assured of a ready market for their produce as Governor Nancy Catamcois seeking to implement the program, “buy local” “buy North Cotabato products” soon.
Seeking to also get the backing of her fellow members in the Regional Governor’s League, Catamco is determined to implement the particular measure the soonest possible time to make farmers feel that the present provincial leadership will be there to help them not just before but during and even after harvest.
The Governor is also assured of the support of Cotabato’s SP Chair on Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Krista Piñol-Solis after the latter has expressed her willingness to support the initiative by sponsoring a Sangguniang Panlalawigan resolution for the said program.
Board Member Piñol-Solis represented the Governor during the distribution ceremony of Certified Rice Seeds and Fertilizers including Collapsible Driers held today, August 1 at the Provincial Agri-Center, Amas, Kidapawan City.
Almost 5,000 sacks of certified rice seeds and 6,000 sacks of Phosphorus, Nitrogen fertilizers and 100 units of collapsible driers were distributed in today’s distribution activity. //idcd/ozg\\
