All applicants qualified, 5 hired on the spot in the provincial government’s job fair 40 passport application and renewal transactions processed

At least 125 fresh graduates and job seekers in Cotabato province are now assured of employment here and abroad after they applied and subsequently qualified in the Serbisyong Totoo Job Fair held August 17 and 18 in line with the celebration of the province’s 103rd foundation anniversary.

Placement status of these applicants will be monitored by the provincial government through the office of the Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO), which in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 12 has also spearheaded a province-wide skills registry prior to the 2-day job fair.

The 20 recruitment agencies, both local and international which conducted interviews and skills assessment of applicants during the said activity were Cotabato Sugar Central Corporation, Gaisano Grand Mall of Kidapawan, Citi Hardware Kidapawan, Six Eleven Global Services, Vicente T. Lao Construction, Lapanday Food Corporation, Acabar Marketing International Incorporated, Taytay sa Kauswagan and Emerald Garmen Manufacturing Corporation.  All are local agencies.

The 11 overseas placement agencies were the following: Pisces International Placement Corporation, Al-Alamia International Manpower Services, Online Hiring Corporation, Jenerick International Manpower Services Incorporated, FVJ Overseas Placement Inc., LRC Manpower Services International Inc., E-GMP International Corporation, Max International, Zontar Manpower Services, Concorde International Human Resource and Al-KHaleej International Services.

During the initial years of her administration, Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza has early on urged investors and recruitment firms especially those operating in the province to prioritize the employment of local workers as she is confident of the competence of the available workforce in the province.

Meanwhile, 40 passport applications including renewal transactions were successfully processed by the provincial government through PHRMO as a Special Passport Processing was held August 20 at the Department of Foreign Affairs Region XII at the Robinson’s Place, General Santos City.//idcd-pgo/ozg\\
