PGCot extends financial aid to families of killed soldiers

The Provincial Government of Cotabato has released financial aid and other assistance to families of two soldiers who were killed in the firefight last week between government troops and Maute Group-ISIS in Marawi City. Provincial government keen on reviving rubber industry, trading centers opened province-wide

Keen on addressing the unstable market price of rubber cuplumps in the province of Cotabato and ensure that farmers avoid being shortchanged in selling their produce, Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza ordered the establishment of local rubber trading centers in strategic areas in the province which will be called as “Bagsakan ng Rubber Cuplumps”. Early this year, the first –ever rubber trading center in the province was opened at Barangay Tamped in Matalam town where approximately 113, 209 kilograms of rubber cuplumps were sold to bidders and has given the farmers and tappers in the area an additional income of P709,900.00….

Cotabato province hosts 40th FEDBOP national championship bowling tournament

The province of Cotabato through the Cotabato Province Duckpin Bowlers Association (COPROBA) hosted the 40th Federation of Duckpin Bowlers of the Philippines (FEDBOP) national championship bowling tournament held on April 23-28, 2017 at Joverlanes Recreation Center, Kidapawan City as part of the sports promotional activities of the foundation anniversary of Cotabato province dubbed as Kalivungan Festival 2017. 52 teams coming from various bowling associations in Visayas and Mindanao participated in the tournament which included youth, senior citizens, executive and mixed doubles categories. Cotabato supports President Duterte’s declaration of martial law

The Provincial Government of Cotabato affirmed its support to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in declaring martial law in Mindanao through a resolution passed by the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) in an urgent meeting held on May 25, 2016 at the rooftop of the Dr. Rosario P. Significant projects to boost literacy, infrastructure in many villages

AMAS, KIDAPAWAN CITY – Children in the barangays will soon be enjoying variety of reading materials after the provincial government officially turned over the Bookmobile Library last May 16, 2017. The Bookmobile library is an extension program of the Cotabato Provincial Library which aims to develop literacy in children including out-of-school youth, and other people in the community, especially in far flung areas where there is less or no access to libraries and barangay reading centers.  Ten public elementary and high schools in every municipality from Districts I, II and III will be identified as recipients of the “Bookmobile Visit”….

Cotabato beefs up engineering capability

The Provincial Government of Cotabato has once again acquired additional heavy equipment worth P285.2M to fortify its engineering capability. In a simple ceremony held on May 16, 2016 Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Mass rabies vaccination and awareness campaign intensified as provincial government eyes a rabies-free Cotabato province

Eyeing to make Cotabato Province a rabies-free community, the provincial government through the office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPVET) intensified its rabies campaign through regular conduct of rabies vaccination, information drive through orientation and distribution of IEC (Information Education Campaign) materials, training of health workers and by making vaccines available 24/7 in the 4 dog bite centers in the province.
