1.8B plus infra projects for 63 SGA-BARRM underway

Pigcawayan, Cotabato – Infrastructure projects in Special Geographic Area – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (SGA-BARMM) or formerly barangays belonging to Cotabato Province will soon intensify its infrastructure and road concreting projects.A total of P1.8 billion Road Network project for 63 SGA-BARMM barangays and P10.5 million worth of 2-storey Brgy. Hall Building projects for barangays Lower Pangangkalan, Lower Baguer and Datu Binasing will soon be implemented following its groundbreaking ceremony held at Datu Binasing (Pigcawayan Cluster), SGA-BARMM this Monday.

The 1.8 billion will cover the road concreting of 1km/brgy and 3.5 million worth of 2-storey barangay hall for each 63 barangay. According to Minister of Public Works BARRM Arch. Eduard U. Guerra, other infrastructure which has been funded include public market and health center projects.

North Cotabato Governor Nancy A. Catamco expressed her full support to the BARRM leadership under BARRM Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim and Minister of Ministry of the Interior and Local Government Naguib G. Sinarimbo and Minister of the Public Works Eduard U. Guerra The governor said, she believe in their sincerity and the capacity to lead the BARRM in achieving peace and development.

Governor Catamco also said she supported the call for BARRM extension of transition “para tuloy-tuloy na maipaimplementa ang mga programa lalong-lalo na sa 63 barangays na dating bahagi ng lalawigan ng North Cotabato”, the governor said. “Being part of BARRM does not mean boundary, but connectivity where we learn from each other’s differences and uniqueness, which will help us grow,” the governor said.

MILG Minister Atty. Naguib G. Sinarimbo also thanked Governor Catamco for her passion to serve and uplift the condition of her people. He also urged everyone to be an agent of change and development.”Let us expand development from the marsh land of Maguindanao to the rolling hills of North Cotabato. The groundbreaking and lowering of time capsule was led by MILG Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo together with Governor Nancy A. Catamco, MPW Arch Eduard U. Guerra, SGA-BARMM Administrator Mohammed Kelie U. Antao, 602nd Brig. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong, Brgy Datu Binasing Chairperson Casan G. Sinarimbo.
