Gov. Catamco lauds serbisyo caravan partners

Amas, Kidapawan City- As Cotabato Governor Nancy A. Catamco expressed her gratitude to different line agencies who joined the Nagkakaisang Adhikain para sa Cotabateños, Local Serbisyo Caravan (NAC-LSC) conducted in different conflict-affected areas of Cotabato Province, she also commends their untiring dedication to public service.

“To all our partners in this endeavor, thank you and my salute to your dedication and hardwork, for joining us in our journey in bringing the government closer to the people through our local serbisyo caravan. I hope we will continue to work together for the good of our people,” the governor said.

For this year, a total of fifteen (15) barangays in the province were already served by the said program which include: Barangays Lanao Kuran and Tumanding, Arakan; Camutan, Antipas, Del Carmen and La Esperanza, President Roxas; Manobo, Manobisa, and Amabil, Magpet; Balabag and Linangkob, Kidapawan City; Batasan, Biangan, Luayon and Old Bulatukan, Makilala; and Bituan in Tulunan.

Services Delivered

Among the services provided by the provincial government and national line agencies during the activity are the following:

  • Distributed 6,000 coffee seedlings, 3225 coconut seedling, 2,600 assorted fruit trees, 70 bags hybrid corn seeds, 15, 570 rubber seedlings, 4,000 pcs. Tilapia fingerlings, 52 bags rice seedlings, 104 bags of fertilizers and 10 pcs.of farm boots and gloves (Office of the Provincial Agriculturist).
  • Served thousands of children through supplemental feeding program and giving of hygiene kits. Also handed hundreds of buntis kits and vitamins to pregnant women (Integrated Provincial Health Office).
  • Handed 1700 disaster preparedness handbooks, conducted CPR Training and distributed Php215K assistance to earthquake victims of Barangay Bituan, Tulunan (Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Division).
  • Distributed 4,627 food packs, school supplies for school children and Php75k livelihood assistance to former rebels (Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office).
  • Distributed 79 cattle, 20 modules of goat , and free vitamins supplementation and antibiotics to animals (Office of Provincial Veterinarian).
  • Grant Php1.5M entrepreneurial loan to 758 beneficiaries (Provincial Cooperative and Development Office)
  • Road rehabilitation and repair (Provincial Engineering’s Office)
  • Conducted 2-day seminar on Technical driving course for free to 751 beneficiaries (Land Transportation Office)
  • Conducted information drive, handed 1 “Kabuhayan Package” in Barangay Balabag, and 10 desktop computers to Batasan National High School in Makilala (Department of Trade and Industry)
  • Distributed 200 school bags and school supplies, and to implement digital starbooks to identified barangays worth P200k (Department of Science and Technology).
  • Distributed 394 CLOA titles (Department of Agrarian Reform).
  • Accepted cash for work beneficiaries and conducted local job fairs (Department of Labor and Employment).
  • Distributed School Supplies and slippers to Arakan and Antipas (Philippine National Police).
  • Gave free haircut to hundreds of individuals (Armed Forces of the Philippines).
  • Processed hundreds of birth certificate registration (Philippine Statistics Authority).
  • Distributed 700 coffee seedlings, 1,000 assorted tree seedlings, 1,000 falcata seedlings (Department of Environment and Natural Resources).
  • Distributed 1,000 sanitary health kits (Department of the Interior and Local Government).
  • Distributed assorted farm tools and 450 pcs. of goat’s milk to malnourished children (Department of Agriculture).
  • Released Social Pension of Senior Citizens, and conducted 4Ps Information and Education Campaign (Department of Social Welfare and Development XII).
  • Distributed 25 units solar installation kits, scholarship grant to 100 beneficiaries, and conducted free manicure and pedicure to different individuals (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority).
  • Conducted Health Insurance Membership and Registration (Philippine Health Insurance Program).
  • Distributed Family planning commodities (Family Planning Organization of the Philippines).

Serbisyo Caravan on 2021

By 2021 the PTF-ELCAC is expected to visit 41 more barangays in the province and set to  deliver more services to the grassroots.

According to Provincial ELCAC coordinator James Labiano, for 2021 the Provincial Government of Cotabato allocated Php26.1M budget for the implementation of Executive order No. 70, Php1.4M from the said budget is intended for livelihood assistance of rebel returnees.(pgo-idcd)
